My name is Carmen Jackson and I am an Australian artist that draws inspiration from the humour and the beauty of the Australian outback, beaches and landscapes.
My painting experience has traveled to most places within Australia. The beauty of the Australian landscapes and its iconic humour is my muse.
The beautiful Central Coast in NSW and this magical opal mining town called White Cliffs in NSW has absolutely captured my heart.
I love the beauty and humour of the Australian outback and to be able to create a painting that shows the quirky nature of this is fantastic.
It brings me absolute joy to share my creative vision and ideas with others. If I can achieve a smile or a giggle I have achieved my goal.
I am now painting portraits of others who inspire me. I will strive to continue to follow my absolute passion and my love for painting.
Over my art career thus far my achievements is entering into Art Shows and exhibiting my work,
My biggest highlight has been being selected as a finalist in the National Capital Art Prize in 2021 with my painting 'The Awakening'. This painting is on display right now in the National Art Gallery in Federation Square in Canberra until November 2021.
My heart and my passion highlight has to be being on the Tv series Art Show Colour in Your Life with Graeme Stevenson, Sophia Stacey and Natascha. This definiately was one of the best days of my life.
I am in the newspaper on the Central Coast for this event and am proudest to be representing the Central Coast and the beautiful opal mining town White Cliffs NSW.
